I, Max Dollinger, love to speak, sing and play for my life. Fortunately, I was able to make this my profession and work as a classical baritone singer. Having grown up on stage at the Franconian municipal theater in various children’s and youth roles, my studies led me to Leipzig and my good fortune as a baritone at the State Opera Hannover.

After four happy seasons at the Saarländisches Staatstheater, I took a big step forward in my career: since August, I have been a member of the solo ensemble at the Hanover State Opera. My first production, DON GIOVANNI, will soon be over. In addition, we are performing the season’s humorous production, ANYTHING GOES, directed by Adriana Altaras, almost weekly until June 2026. It is an American comedy that is great fun! In contrast, we are currently rehearsing Puccini’s TURANDOT, directed by Jakob Peters-Messer, in which I already had the opportunity to sing Ping in Saarbrücken. In Hanover, however, I am double-cast – so please always check the dates in advance. At the beginning of the year, in addition to all the musical theater, I am delighted to have another concert coming up: Bach’s Christmas Oratorio at the Marktkirche in Halle/Saale.
