I, Max Dollinger, love to speak, sing and play for my life. Fortunately, I was able to make this my profession and work as a classical baritone singer. Having grown up on stage at the Franconian municipal theater in various children’s and youth roles, my studies led me to Leipzig and my good fortune as a baritone at the State Opera Hannover.

Eight months ago, I transferred to the Hanover State Opera and am gradually settling into Lower Saxony and the city. The classic musical “ANYTHING GOES” has become part of my weekly routine. It is an American boulevard comedy by Cole Porter, directed by Adriana Altaras, which will run until June 2026. At the beginning of February, I also celebrated my “TURANDOT” premiere. I had already performed in Jakob Peters-Messer’s production in Saarbrücken in 2025. Now I am also on stage in Hanover as Ping, but due to double casting, I am not performing on all dates. This year’s Opera Ball, with the French motto “PADAM!” and Katherine Mehrling as the star guest, took place in mid-February and attracted a lot of media attention. Preparations are currently underway for “DIE TOTE STADT” and for the one-off film music concert “HOMMAGE À LEGRAND” with chanson hits by Michel Legrand.
