Welcome!

I, Max Dollinger, love to speak, sing and play for my life. Fortunately, I was able to make this my profession and work as a classical baritone singer. Having grown up on stage at the Franconian municipal theater in various children’s and youth roles, my studies led me to Leipzig and my good fortune as a baritone at the State Opera Hannover.

It’s been just under a year since I moved to the Hanover State Opera. My first season in this new city is already behind me. I’ve experienced many exciting “firsts” and had the pleasure of meeting many new people. With three role debuts, my repertoire is steadily expanding. Among them is Fritz in *Die Tote Stadt*, a role I hope to sing more often and whose aria “Mein Sehnen, mein Wähnen” will accompany me to many auditions. With the role of Ping in “TURANDOT,” I had a ministerial reunion in the same production following my appearance in Saarbrücken. In addition to my house debut at the Hanover State Opera, I also celebrated my house debut at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf during the season.

The new 2026/27 season kicks off in mid-September with the grand opening premiere of “PIQUE DAME” directed by Roland Schwab under the musical direction of our new General Music Director Francesco Angelico, with me as Prince Yeletsky. You can already find all performances through January 2027 under “Dates”—I look forward to seeing you there!

Let yourself be enchanted, carried away and touched – I look forward to seeing you.
