Welcome!

I, Max Dollinger, love to speak, sing and play for my life. Fortunately, I was able to make this my profession and work as a classical baritone singer. Having grown up on stage at the Franconian municipal theater in various children’s and youth roles, my studies led me to Leipzig and my good fortune as a baritone at the State Opera Hannover.

It’s been nine months now since I joined the Hanover State Opera, and I’m gradually settling into life in Lower Saxony and the city. I am currently performing in two very different musical theater productions: first, as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh in the classic musical “ANYTHING GOES,” directed by Adriana Altaras; and second, as Ping in Puccini’s late opera “TURANDOT,” directed by Jakob Peters-Messer. Behind the scenes, under the direction of Ilaria Lanzino, stage rehearsals are underway for “DIE TOTE STADT,” which premieres on May 9, 2026. I’m taking on the role of Fritz, which allows me to contribute one of Korngold’s most famous hits and baritone arias, “Mein Sehnen, mein Wähnen,” to the evening. June also holds a unique highlight: In cooperation between the Hanover State Opera and the Hanover Jazz Club, I will perform our frequently performed song recital “UNHEARD STORIES BY GEORG KREISLER.” You can find the full range of performances under Dates—you are cordially invited. I look forward to seeing you!
